Your wanderings nearly moved me to tears and reminded me of Al Imran, verse 140, where Allah says, “If a wound has touched you, be sure a similar wound has touched the others. And so are the days (good and not so good). We give to men by turns, that Allah may test those who believe”. So, is this but a test designed to move us closer to Him? InsyaAllah. We know a Truth - that to Allah belongs the heavens and the earth - and so, perhaps really, it is not a case of Him keeping “this land Muslim”, but really, really, it could be that this land is more Muslim than what the visual oxymoron is hiding – quote “They’re Muslim families, with tea and biscuits in hand, welcoming back their pilgrims from Hajj.” After all, isn’t Allah ‘the best of the planners”?
